PROPERTIES:

It is the authentic Aleppo Soap, imported directly from Syria. This soap has been made following the traditional production techniques in the Aleppo region, and using top quality raw materials such as Virgin Olive Oil and Laurel Berry Oil. In addition to its excellent composition, it has had a very long drying process, which makes it an ideal soap to treat all kinds of skin pathologies, such as dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, irritation, etc. It is considered the first solid soap in history, as it is believed that it was already made in Ancient Mesopotamia. And from it, the tradition of soap in the West was born several centuries later.

About the process of making Aleppo Soap:

It is a very complex process that requires several steps. In the first place, the mixture of the aforementioned oils with mineral water and sodium hydroxide is made in large underground stone wells built in this way for more than 3000 years. The mixture is moved for hours with large wooden paddles until it reaches the Saponification point. The saponified soap, still hot, is spread by hand over the entire surface of some huge warehouses with marble floors. The last and most important step is to cut the extended soap in the shape of a Rubik's cube. These cubic-shaped soaps are placed forming mountains in Cave-type rooms with very low light and temperature conditions to proceed with the Drying or Curing process. They are kept drying for 10 months and it is for this reason that a soap that should be green ends up presenting a brown outer shell that has excellent nourishing and soothing properties for our skin.

USE:
