PROPERTIES:

Sulfur soap is one of the products that dermatologists recommend for treating acne and blackheads, among other skin problems. The anti-inflammatory, disinfectant and soothing properties make it useful for most skin types, except for very dry ones.

Acne is a skin disorder that occurs especially at the beginning of puberty, due to hormonal changes that occur in adolescents. One of them lies in the excessive secretion of fat on the face which, together with bacterial accumulation, causes follicular inflammation. To prevent it, it is essential to carry out a daily facial cleansing. One of the most used cosmetics for acne is sulfur soap. In this way, excess fat is removed and its levels on the face are regulated. In the same way that it is applied to the face, it can be used on other areas of the body such as the back or the chest.

This soap could also be used in cases of seborrheic dermatitis, which is related to an alteration in sebum production that causes skin flaking. Sulfur soap reduces the symptoms of these disorders and soothes irritations. At the moment the objective is achieved, it is convenient to limit its use so as not to leave the skin too dry.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Sulfur soap can be used by almost everyone, as it works for both oily and combination skin, although it is not recommended for people with dry skin. It must be taken into account that this soap works by removing fat from the epidermis, so if it is used too much or when it is not necessary, it can dry out so much that our tissues become cracked and flaky.

In fact, it is recommended to use it only once a day; in severe cases, at most morning and night. And the ideal thing to make it more effective is that before using it, you apply hot water on your skin to open the pores. Then moisten the soap and rub it in to make a little lather. Apply it, with your hands, on the affected area and gently massage for one minute. If it's on the face, close your eyes well and avoid applying soap around the contour. Finally, reapply water, in a better case warm or cold, to remove all the foam from your face.

METHOD:
To guarantee that our soap preserves all the properties of its oils, we use the cold saponification process.

USE:
We recommend using a well-draining soap dish to keep soap dry after use. Likewise, we recommend not having the soap exposed to water flows. Store soap in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
